APDA Connecting Through Art
Connecting Through Art is a creative arts program that offers people with Parkinson’s disease the space and ability to express feelings, emotions, and daily concerns through art.
It is open to any adult who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners.
Katrina Casey, Art Therapist, will guide participants through a short mindfulness breathing and painting exercise, and a modeling clay activity.
Session date and time:
• Wednesday, August 14, 2024 – 2 to 3 PM.
The program will take place virtually via Zoom.
The program is free, and art supplies will be provided at no cost to participants.
Registration is required. To register, please email Anushka Shiell at ashiell@apdaparkinson.org. Registration deadline is August 7, to ensure participants receive materials in time for the program.
