Founded in 2012, owned and operated by a registered nurse, and licensed in good standing by the North Dakota Department of Health, Dakota Home Care is proud to offer both medical and non-medical in-home care as well as skilled home care services. We offer services for as little as one hour per visit, up to and including 24-hour care – and everything in between.
Jamie Fleck, RN, opened the doors to Dakota Home Care as the result of caring for a lifelong friend’s sister after she suffered from a stroke in 2010 that required full time skilled nursing services. After experiencing two years of hospitalizations and nursing home placement, her husband and young family were determined to bring her home. They contacted many area home health agencies, but not one was able to provide the skilled nursing care she required. That was when Jamie was contacted for help. Jamie, a nurse and the founder and owner of DTN Staffing, made it her personal mission to help get our first client home. She hired Judy Dalzell, an RN with more than 10 years of experience in home health care, and together they did the work necessary to get the care at home our first client and her family needed
Jamie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Sanford School of Nursing, and has lived in North Dakota her whole life. She is a devoted Christian who enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, especially at sporting events, and outdoors, on the water or around a campfire. Living on a ranch, Jamie loves riding horses and competing in rodeos. She also has a passion for rescuing animals, bringing them back to health, and finding them loving homes.
Owner, Administrator, and CEO
As founder Jamie Fleck’s sister, Beverly is equally devoted to ensuring that North Dakota families discover the peace of mind that comes from knowing the older adults they love are safe and well cared for in the comfort of home. Prior to joining Dakota Home Care, Beverly worked at the National List of Attorneys for 15 years as Director of Business Development, providing her with the expertise to grow Dakota Home Care to the business it is today. Beverly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Children’s Development, and, also a devout Christian, enjoys spending her free time with her husband, son, and daughter, being outdoors, traveling and reading. She also loves networking and being a part of groups that have a passion and purpose, serving and supporting organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Niki Joersz, RN, BSN
Director of Nursing
As the Director of Nursing, Niki oversees the care coordination team and represents the interests of the agency by assuring compliance with federal and state regulations. She collaborates with internal staff, medical professionals, community organizations, and government agencies to develop, support and coordinate client care. Niki loves providing a service that allows clients to remain safely at home where they can thrive and get quality one-on-one care. Niki has a husband, four children and two grandchildren and spends much of her free time with her family, enjoying time outdoors and attending kids’ activities. She is a board member of the Mandan Hockey Club and loves doing DIY projects with her husband
Judy Dalzell, RN, MS
Director of Quality Assurance
Judy works with the management staff to ensure that regulations are correctly followed and reviews care delivery to ensure clients receive the highest level of quality care possible. She finds it rewarding to work alongside her fellow staff members to provide great care to those in her community. When outside of work, Judy and her husband enjoy spending time with their adult children, and doing other hobbies such as knitting.
Charlene Seifert, RN, BSN
Director of Business Development and Client Services
Charlene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and brings experience in the nursing field as well as medical and pharmaceutical sales. She enjoys working with clients, families, and staff to ensure that Dakota Home Care continues to earn its reputation as professional and caring home care experts and that our clients receive quality care. She works closely with referral partners, including assisted and independent living communities, local service organizations, healthcare providers and hospital systems as well as community service groups. She finds purpose and personal joy knowing that families and clients are able to enjoy aging, independence, and quality care in the comfort of their own homes. Charlene and her husband Mark enjoy traveling, the outdoors and nature as well giving back to the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Dakota Humane Society, leads the Community Elder Service Network, and volunteering at her church.
Business Office Manager
Laura oversee the agency’s business activities including developing and implementing policy and procedure, as well as managing strategic business initiatives. Above all of her roles, she loves interacting with customers to ensure that the best service is provided. Laura is a mom to one daughter and two rescue dogs. She loves puppies and wishes she could rescue every single one! When she’s not a work, Laura can be found spending time with family who love to camp. She also enjoys running and reading.
Payroll and Billing Manager
Julie is responsible for the management of payroll and benefits for the staff at Dakota Home Care. She also reviews and processes insurance billings for clients. Julie enjoys being part of a dedicated team that works together to provide needed services to clients in their own homes. When not working, she enjoys reading a good mystery, going for walks and spending as much time as she can making memories with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.
Erica Muchow, BSN, RN
Nurse Case Manager/Program Director
As a fourth-generation nurse, caring for clients is in Erica’s blood. In her role as program director for the Fargo office, Erica oversees the hiring and onboarding of new staff and helps admit clients for care. As a nurse case manager, she develops and oversees personalized client care plans and coordinates with the client’s medical team to ensure needs are met. In addition to finding immense satisfaction in getting to know each of her clients personally, Erica is passionate about the choice to receive care at home. Erica grew up in a small town southwest of Fargo and enjoys spending time with family, attending church, playing board games, and traveling and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two dogs.
Mandy Persson, RN, BSN
Mandy works with both adults and pediatric patients as a nurse case manager. She empowers individuals and families to make decisions about their care and adapt as their care needs change. When she meets someone new, she loves to listen to their life story, meet their family, and learn about their routine. She feels person-centered care is essential and taking that time in the beginning—and along the way—makes all the difference. When not at work, Mandy loves to spend time outside mountain biking, hiking, and camping. When she’s at home, she loves to bake, garden, sew, and play music with her husband. They also love to travel and explore both North Dakota and wherever curiosity takes them!
Roxanne Hepper, RN
Roxanne has extensive experience in the long term care setting and assists with the admission of new clients, developing care plans and overseeing care. She works with clients, families, and the medical community to ensure that all of each clients’ needs are met. She also leads the agency’s dementia training program to ensure that our caregivers can provide the best possible care to our clients with memory loss. She loves learning about the lives of our clients. She enjoys empowering them and providing the best care so they can remain safely at home. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her spending time with her four adult girls and their families, traveling, crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading, or gardening.
Cassie Jiras, LBSW
Client Resource Coordinator and Support Specialist
Cassie spends much of her time meeting with clients and their families to make sure their needs are always being met. If we cannot meet a need, she will work with local resources and find themAs a support specialist, she also works on keeping all of our tech up and running. She is often called a “Jackie of all trades” around the office because she can figure out how to install, fix or assemble anything. Cassie is married with two school-aged kids, one boy and one girl, as well as three cats, a dog and bearded dragon. She loves photography, being outdoors and staying active with her family, whether camping, fishing, riding bikes or going for walks.
Human Resources Officer
Tammy provides support to Dakota Home Care customers, managers, employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks in order to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive. Her goal is to ensure that ultimately Dakota Home Care’s customers receive a seamless and positive experience. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys gardening, crafting, and walking her dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family riding four-wheelers, playing tennis, and sitting by the fire pit.
Home Health Aide Manager
August connects with our caregivers at a personal and professional level to provide them with the tools they need to be confident in their ability to offer the best service for our clients. He loves seeing what a big difference our caregivers make in the lives of our clients and finds it very rewarding to know that we are providing relief from their stress. August moved to North Dakota from Wisconsin with his family in 2015. His family and his faith are what are most important to him. In his free time, he enjoys being with family and friends, watching and participating in sports, attending parish events, and brewing beer.
Nikki is our “matchmaker,” scheduling caregivers with clients based on skills, available hours, and compatibility. She loves pairing up our clients with just the right caregiver and knowing a strong bond will develop and the very best service will be provided. She lives in Bismarck with her husband and their daughter, and loves any reason to celebrate a holiday, birthday, or loved one. She adores party planning, from the decorations to the activities to anything that adds extra flair to the occasion. She also enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and playing board and card games.
Mariah works tirelessly to arrange care for our clients with perfectly matched caregivers. She has always had a passion for helping others, and loves being able to help our clients receive the best possible care we can provide, while finding solutions to problems that arise. Maintaining personal connections is important to Mariah, as she is very close to her family, even though many of them live in Texas. She wants to always make sure other people know they are loved and cared for. She is currently planning her wedding, and also enjoys reading, traveling, and being outdoors as much as possible.
Karen is the voice of Dakota Home Care. When you call our office, she will cheerfully answer the phone and direct your call to the person you need to speak with. She also takes care to manage the paperwork required for our caregivers and skilled nursing staff. She loves to hear that we are making a difference in our clients’ lives by providing support, companionship, and care. This year will mark the 30th anniversary for Karen and her husband John! In her free time, she enjoys traveling to new places and camping with her husband, her dog, and her camping family.

It requires a great deal of trust, and at Dakota Home Care, we work hard to earn the trust of those in our community by hiring the most qualified, compassionate home health care professionals who truly have a heart for making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Our team is comprised of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, home health aides, and home care experts who have all been carefully screened and background checked. They are also provided a minimum of 12 hours of education each year to ensure they’re fully equipped to meet a wide range of home health care needs.

Each home health aide is supervised and trained by a registered nurse case manager, ensuring the most skilled and appropriate level of care.
Additionally, we go to great lengths to ensure the best caregiver match for each individual. For instance, if someone loves cooking, we’ll find a caregiver who shares that passion. If a meticulously clean home is a top priority, we’ll find a caregiver who is highly skilled in that area. Or for an older adult who is feeling lonely and enjoys the company of others, we’ll provide an outgoing caregiver who loves engaging in conversations. Taking the time to get to know our clients – and our care team – is the key to ensuring a successful partnership.
