Founded in 2012, owned and operated by a registered nurse, and licensed in good standing by the North Dakota Department of Health, Dakota Home Care is proud to be the only home health agency in our community offering both medical and non-medical in-home care as well as skilled home care services. We are also the only licensed agency that offers services for as little as one hour per visit, up to and including 24-hour care – and everything in between.

Jamie Fleck

Jamie Fleck, RN

Founding Owner

Jamie Fleck, RN, opened the doors to Dakota Home Care as the result of caring for a lifelong friend’s sister after she suffered from a stroke in 2010 that required full time skilled nursing services. After experiencing two years of hospitalizations and nursing home placement, her husband and young family were determined to bring her home. They contacted many area home health agencies, but not one was able to provide the skilled nursing care she required. That was when Jamie was contacted for help. Jamie, a nurse and the founder and owner of DTN Staffing, made it her personal mission to help get our first client home. She hired Judy Dalzell, an RN with more than 10 years of experience in home healthcare, and together they did the work necessary to get the care at home our first client and her family needed

Jamie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Sanford School of Nursing, and has lived in North Dakota her whole life. She is a devoted Christian who enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children, especially at sporting events, and outdoors, on the water or around a campfire. Living on a ranch, Jamie loves riding horses and competing in rodeos. She also has a passion for rescuing animals, bringing them back to health, and finding them loving homes.

Owner, Administrator, and CEO

As founder Jamie Fleck’s sister, Beverly is equally devoted to ensuring that North Dakota families discover the peace of mind that comes from knowing the older adults they love are safe and well cared for in the comfort of home. Prior to joining Dakota Home Care, Beverly worked at the National List of Attorneys for 15 years as Director of Business Development, providing her with the expertise to grow Dakota Home Care to the business it is today. Beverly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Children’s Development, and, also a devout Christian, enjoys spending her free time with her husband, son, and daughter, being outdoors, traveling and reading. She also loves networking and being a part of groups that have a passion and purpose, serving and supporting organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Association and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Nikki Joersz

Niki Joersz, RN, BSN

Director of Nursing

As the Director of Nursing, Niki oversees the care coordination team and represents the interests of the agency by assuring compliance with federal and state regulations. She collaborates with internal staff, medical professionals, community organizations, and government agencies to develop, support and coordinate client care. Niki loves providing a service that allows clients to remain safely at home where they can thrive and get quality one-on-one care.  Niki has a husband, four children and two grandchildren and spends much of her free time with her family, enjoying time outdoors and attending kids’ activities. She is a board member of the Mandan Hockey Club and loves doing DIY projects with her husband

Judy Dalzell

Judy Dalzell, RN, MS

Director of Quality Assurance

Judy works with the management staff to ensure that regulations are correctly followed and reviews care delivery to ensure clients receive the highest level of quality care possible. She finds it rewarding to work alongside her fellow staff members to provide great care to those in her community. When outside of work, Judy and her husband enjoy spending time with their adult children, and doing other hobbies such as knitting.

Charlene Seifert

Charlene Seifert, RN, BSN

Director of Business Development & Client Services

Charlene works with clients and families to assure that Dakota Home Care continues to earn its reputation as the professional and caring home care experts in North Dakota. She works closely with referral partners, including assisted and independent living communities, local service organizations, healthcare providers and hospital systems. She finds purpose and personal joy knowing families and clients are able to enjoy aging and independence in the comfort of their own homes. Charlene and her husband Mark enjoy traveling, as well as being in the outdoors, and giving back to the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Central Dakota Humane Society, as well as volunteers at her church.

Cassie Jiras

Cassie Jiras, LBSW

Human Resources Director

As HR Director, Cassie spends most of her time managing the resources for Dakota Home Care’s employees, including record keeping and compliance. She also prides herself on being a “Jackie of all trades” around the office and will help with anything, whether it’s programming computers or assembling bookshelves. Her faith and family are important to her. Cassie is married with two school-aged kids, one boy and one girl, as well as three cats and a puppy. She loves to be outdoors and staying active with her family, whether camping, fishing, riding bikes or going for walks.

Laura Meckle

Laura Meckle

Business Office Manager

Laura oversee the agency’s business activities including developing and implementing policy and procedure, as well as managing strategic business initiatives. Above all of her roles, she loves interacting with customers to ensure that the best service is provided. Laura is a mom to one daughter and one rescue dog. She loves puppies and wishes she could rescue every single one! When she’s not a work, Laura can be found spending time with family who love to camp. She also enjoys running and reading.

Mandy Persson

Mandy Persson, RN, BSN

Case Manager

Mandy works with both adults and pediatric patients as a nurse case manager. She empowers individuals and families to make decisions about their care and adapt as their care needs change. When she meets someone new, she loves to listen to their life story, meet their family, and learn about their routine. She feels person-centered care is essential and taking that time in the beginning—and along the way—makes all the difference. When not at work, Mandy loves to spend time outside mountain biking, hiking, and camping. When she’s at home, she loves to bake, garden, sew, and play music with her husband. They also love to travel and explore both North Dakota and wherever curiosity takes them!

Shana Heinrich

Shana Heinrich, RN, MSN

Case Manager

Shana primarily provides support and comprehensive care management for clients, as well as support and training for staff. She loves to see how our clients have improved health outcomes, and are able to remain in their home environment as long as they are able and wish to. Shana believes it is a gift to be a nurse, and strives to advocate for all the people in her care. Outside of work, Shana enjoys spending time with her two young children and two cats. She enjoys gardening, playing guitar, painting, reading, and continuing her education.

Becky Skalsky

Becky Skalsky, RN, BSN

Chart Review Nurse

Becky conducts review and audit charts for Dakota Home Care clients. Becky loves visiting clients to make sure all their needs are being met. Becky also enjoys reading, walking her dog, traveling, and watching her five kids (three girls and two boys) participate in sports. She loves to be with her family, enjoying the outdoors and grilling delicious meals.

Tammy Peterson

Tammy Peterson

Administrative Assistant

Tammy provides support to Dakota Home Care customers, managers, employees, and office visitors by handling a variety of tasks in order to ensure that all interactions between the organization and others are positive and productive. Her goal is to ensure that ultimately Dakota Home Care’s customers receive a seamless and positive experience. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys gardening, crafting, and walking her dogs. She enjoys spending time with her family riding four-wheelers, playing tennis, and sitting by the fire pit.

Julie Koth-Grabar

Julie Koth-Grabar

Payroll & Billing Manager

Julie is responsible for the management of payroll and benefits for the staff at Dakota Home Care. She also reviews and processes insurance billings for clients. Julie enjoys being part of a dedicated team that works together to provide needed services to clients in their own homes. When not working, she enjoys reading a good mystery, going for walks and spending as much time as she can making memories with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, son-in-law and grandson.

Malory Mildenberger

Malory Mildenberger, CNA, HHA

Staffing Manager

Malory creates and maintains all of the client schedules while supervising CNA/HHA staff and ensuring they have all the tools needed to succeed. Knowing that the services Dakota Home Care provides are life changing for clients and their families gives Malory satisfaction each work day. Outside of work, Malory spends a lot of time with her friends and her animals. They help her relax and teach her all kinds of values. She is an avid Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Amazon streamer, and loves videogames and movies, but says nothing beats a good book!

Morgan Edmonson

Morgan Edmonson, CNA, HHA

Staffing Manager

Morgan manages the schedules of her work team, as well as supervises and supports caregivers. She also has a role in hiring and on-boarding new CNAs. She enjoys getting to meet and spend time with clients, recognizing that each person is so special. When not at Dakota Home Care, Morgan spends time with her two young kids and husband, going for walks, playing basketball, and playing at the park. She also enjoys working out, reading, and watching Netflix. Morgan loves that Dakota Home Care values work-life balance, so that she can spend as much time as possible with her kids, while still doing meaningful work outside of her home.

Care Team

We understand that inviting a caregiver into the sanctity of home isn’t easy. 

It requires a great deal of trust, and at Dakota Home Care, we work hard to earn the trust of those in our community by hiring the most qualified, compassionate care professionals who truly have a heart for making a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Our team is comprised of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, home health aides, and home care experts who have all been carefully screened and background checked. They are also provided a minimum of 12 hours of education each year to ensure they’re fully equipped to meet a wide range of home health care needs.

Our extensive training and education programs include:

  • Home health aide training certification within the first four months of employment
  • A monthly in-service program under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • An online training program called Relias, customized for home health aides
  • An online training program called Elsevier, customized for private duty nursing
  • A specialized hospice care training program
  • A specialized memory care training program
  • In-home orientations
  • Medication competency checks
  • Skills checks and skills training labs
  • One-on-one training with clients who have higher acuity needs and special treatment plans

Each home health aide is supervised and trained by a registered nurse case manager, ensuring the most skilled and appropriate level of care. 

Additionally, we go to great lengths to ensure the best caregiver match for each individual. For instance, if someone loves cooking, we’ll find a caregiver who shares that passion. If a meticulously clean home is a top priority, we’ll find a caregiver who is highly skilled in that area. Or for an older adult who is feeling lonely and enjoys the company of others, we’ll provide an outgoing caregiver who loves engaging in conversations. Taking the time to get to know our clients – and our care team – is the key to ensuring a successful partnership.
